Our Home at Hazegras
Circa 1929, on Smet de Naeyerlaan 70, stands a house with a story — a place where history and serenity meet by the sea. Once named for Count de Smet de Naeyer, a former Prime Minister of Belgium, this listed building rests in the heart of Hazegras — a district whose name whispers of ‘hare and grass,’ and of nature’s quiet poetry.
Hazegras has blossomed in recent years — an enclave where the charm of the past meets the pulse of the present. The streets breathe a renewed elegance, while the echoes of old Ostend linger softly in the air.
Within these walls, we have created a sanctuary — a place to rest, to dream, and to wake in a sea of calm. Each room carries the gentle spirit of the house’s history, reimagined with contemporary comfort and understated refinement. The light filters through tall windows, the mornings are unhurried, and time seems to pause — just long enough for you to breathe deeply and feel completely at ease.
At our B&B, every stay is more than a visit; it is a moment suspended between past and present — where heritage, tranquility, and elegance come together by the coast.
Welcome to Hazegras. Welcome home.
